Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oklahoma
About Us
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oklahoma grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since being founded in 1987 our chapter has granted more than 1,600 wishes to eligible Oklahoma children.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® finances its endeavors through corporate sponsors, foundations, service clubs, fundraisers and individual contributions. Make-A-Wish® is not funded by United Way, nor does it receive any government funding. We continue to make the magic of wishes happen thanks to community-minded corporations, groups and individuals. Locally approximately 82% of every wish dollar donated goes to granting a wish.
The Oklahoma chapter is part of the largest wish-granting organization in the world, with 69 chapters in the United States and its territories, along with 27 international affiliates on five continents. Make-A-Wish® estimates a positive impact on more than 300,000 individuals each year.
