About Us

Second Wind Lung Transplant Association, Inc. is an international organization with over 400 members scattered throughout the United States, Australia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Germany. It was formed on April 17, 1995, by a small group of people who wanted to provide information about lung transplantation to others. Today Second Wind works to improve the quality of life for lung transplant recipients, lung surgery candidates, people with related pulmonary concerns, and their families.
